Access & FrontPage |
What About FrontPage?
Microsoft FrontPage 2003 will be available for use in the Student Computing labs, however this is the last version of FrontPage being produced by Microsoft. It will continue to be supported into the foreseeable future.
SharePoint Designer 2007 is one of two products Microsoft developed to replace FrontPage and will be available in the Student Computing labs in addition to FrontPage. SharePoint Designer 2007 supports some legacy FrontPage features however, users familiar with FrontPage will notice that some features aren't available in this product, such as modifiable themes, shared borders and easy form creation. When Microsoft developed SharePoint Designer, they abandoned future support of FrontPage's special custom features in order to be more compliant with current Web standards.
